Lollipop Centrepiece Follow Up

In Centrepiece, May 2011 on May 27, 2011 at 4:49 am

Those of you who saw this post saw that I was liking the idea of using lollipops as my centrepiece, and then letting people take the lollipops home as their bonbonniere (with the added bonus that I could keep whichever lollipops were left behind).

Well I’ve been looking at Goody Goody Gumdrops an online lolly store.

After doing some quick calculations, I worked out I could get something like 300 lollipops in various shapes, sizes and colours, for around $242.

Star Lollipops

Fruit Lollipops

Now I know that works out to something like 80c a lollipop, which may or may not be a bargain depending on where you come from, but given that I was originally looking at spending $200+ on bonbonniere in the shape of small jars of bo peep lollies

Jars of Bo Peep lollies (also known as mini boiled lollies)

I think it seems like a bit of a steal.

Now, I wonder whether I can still put them in the tin can vases.
