So after a bit of thinking about it, I’ve decided to try to make my own birdcage veil.
I’ve just bought this netting
and these flowers
to try to re-create this veil.
There’s two flowers and 2m of netting, so I’m planning on using one as a trial (though if I get lucky enough I may make it work first go).
Now to decide whether to attach the flower to the netting, or whether to put the flower on a hairclip so that I can wear it separately from the veil if I want to. Also, whether I should glue little swarovski rhinestones to the veil to make it sparkle. Hmmm, any thoughts?
If the DIY birdcage veil works out* I think I’ll definitely be wearing a fingertip veil during the ceremony and then changing later.
*at a whopping huge $19.82, mainly ‘coz I had to buy the items off ebay, darn haberdashery shops only selling millinery items during race season!
You got a definitely helpful blog I’ve been right here reading for about an hour. I’m a newbie and your accomplishment is quite a lot an inspiration for me.
