I’ve found some beautiful wedding inspiration on Grey Likes and I wanted to share it with you. Here goes!
I especially love the use of the old suitcase as part of the table decoration in that first shot. Just gorgeous.

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas!
In light of the season, I thought I would post some pretty Christmas wedding inspiration photos for us to all drool over. Here goes:
Images all from Best Wedding Decor.
Images from Tybee Island Wedding.
Images from one of my favourite places to obtain inspiration, Elizabeth Anne Designs. This blog is where I found the inspiration pictures for my perfect centrepieces.
Image from another of my favourite places, We Heart It. Also home of my photograph inspiration that has sent us to Europe for our honeymoon. I have to admit, I’m loving this photograph!
Image from Koda Chrome Wedding.
Have you come across any brilliant Christmas inspiration? I’d love to hear about it if you have!
I’ve found a beautiful 1950s Cocktail Wedding on Polka Dot Bride.
Here’s a few of my favourite photographs:
I’m especially loving the idea of having the scrabble sets out so that people can play with them (what a great place card idea!). Think those and lego will be too much?
I had spoken to the fiance about having a series of old postcards out for people to write on instead of a guest book. He wasn’t crash hot on the idea, but I’ve been looking into it anyway in case I can change his mind.
I had been looking at getting a small red pillar post box to post the cards into, but they’re surprisingly difficult to find (if you know where I can get one let me know!)
In the meantime, someone has pointed me towards this
that’s available from Provincial Living. For $25, I think an alternative might have been found!
I’ve been trying to work out what kind of hair accessories I was going to give my flower girl. It’s been hard choosing between a headband, clips, flowers, bows, and all sorts of other ideas!
I saw this cute little idea at Online Bridal Store
and I think it would go nicely with the dress I want for her.
Incidentally, this is how I think I want her hair to look:
What do you think?
Another great deal that’s landed in my inbox courtesy of Boutique Bride – a wedding photographer discount!
You pay $7 and get a coupon for 30% off the cost of having Zen Foto as your wedding photographers.
I’ve had a look through their image gallery and there seem to be some very lovely shots.
I think this one is my favourite, though
I don’t actually need these because, as mentioned earlier, we’re having lego cake toppers. That aside, I received an email from Boutique Bride that has a deal on custom cake toppers made by Minikin Mania. They normally retail at $179.00 but this deal allows you to buy them for only $99. That’s a lovely 45% discount – would that we could get all our wedding buys at that kind of a discount!
I think I mentioned a while ago that I should have a go at putting together my own ‘Inspiration Board’.
Well, I have finally done it and I have a new-found respect for everyone out there in the multiverse that makes it look so flawless and easy!
Behold, my attempt at an Inspiration Board:
I’ve been trying to create my own headpiece based on this image from Brenda’s Bridal Veils:
I bought two flowers, with the idea of practicing on one, and then using the other as the actual hairpiece.
Well, after a few days of playing around with slides, and clips and bobby pins and a miscellany of other ways of fixing the flower in my hair I’ve concluded that 1. it’s harder than it looks and 2. I’m not sure it’s really me.
While I love the idea of the birdcage veil, and may still try to create it just for a few of the professional photographs, I think I’m just going to stick with an elbow length veil for the ceremony, and then be veil-less at the reception.
Now I’ll have to see whether there’s a way to turn the brooch that matches my jewellery into some sort of hairclip…
